Understanding the 4 C’s

  • Carat
The diamond carat is the unit of measurement of a diamond’s weight, larger diamonds being the rarest.
  • Cut
A high-quality diamond cut will result in an asymmetrical, brilliant stone reflecting maximum brilliance.
  • Clarity
Diamond clarity indicates the presence or absence of inclusions and blemishes within a diamond.
  • Color
Graded on an alphabetical scale from D (colorless) to Z (light yellow), a diamond’s color rating indicates the degree of yellowness in the stone. The most valuable diamonds are usually entirely colorless.
